TWIRP Day

SF Chronicle: Paleo-con parents out of control. A Texas school had a yearly day set aside when boys could dress in girl’s clothes and vice versa. Some parents (apparently under the influence of the anti-gay mania sweeping the country ever since Kerry promised to force all gays to marry) decided that the “cross-dressing day” promoted homosexuality. The tradition has been swapped out for “Camo Day,” wherein students get to wear black army boots and camouflage to school. Now that’s emotional health!

  1. Apparently letting your kids go all ‘trench coat mafia’ is preferable to anything even remotely hinting of homosexuality.
Correct me if I’m wrong… but pre-9/11 weren’t parents up in arms about kids wearing stuff like camo and military garb to school?

I suppose she’ll want to keep her children from attending homecoming balls too… I mean, a daughter in a ball gown… bound to become a fairy princess if she dresses that way… a son in a tuxedo… instantly turns into a waiter.

What the hell is in the water down there?

  2. Evidently the whole idea of gender-responsibility reversal, such as women opening doors for men and asking them out on dates threatens the institution of marriage.

  3. All we need now is common sense, and stable people. If someone is so worried about gays or homosexual tendencies, it doesn’t necessarily means he is bad, but it sure means he is CRAZY. And this is DANGEROUS, as is dangerous if someone think that military is ALWAYS evil. Our future is not in the hands of Ku Klux Klan, and not of antiamerican anarchy neither!
