Newspaper Blackout Poems

Somewhere between fascist newspaper censorship and the dada (data?) poets: Newspaper Blackout Poems.

Grab an old newspaper. Grab a Sharpie, pen, crayon — anything that marks. Find an article. (The more random the better.) Start crossing out words, leaving the words you like. Pretty soon you’ll have a poem.

Music: R. L. Burnside :: Old Black Mattie
