Not the main road you’re used to, but the old / abandoned one that runs down near the water. Not exactly easy to access, but blissful once you do. Combination paved/unpaved (you’ll want a mountain bike), and extends the entire length of San Pablo Dam, around 4 miles each way.

Did I just pass the San Pablo Dam Road two days ago when I was on I-80 between Vallejo and Oakland? We are from the east coast, but were visiting relatives in the Bay Area.
Yep, you would have passed it on that route alright. But that would be the modern highway – this ride is about the old abandoned one closer to the water, now mostly dirt road.
