Block the Vote

NY Times:

Earlier this week former employees of Sproul & Associates (operating under the name Voters Outreach of America), a firm hired by the Republican National Committee to register voters, told a Nevada TV station that their supervisors systematically tore up Democratic registrations.

There’s more, and it’s ugly.

Thanks rinchen.

  1. I’m not going to vote, i’m not an american, but i am, like they say, a citizen of the world, and the cheer possibility that this… person can win again makes me sick. It’s amazing what he and his administration have done not only to their country but to the world.

    Thanks for the links Scot.

  2. I doubt it was quite that simple. Possibly they were tearing up more fraudulent registrations, not valid registrations, as have been turning up by the tens of thousands all over the country….you know, the ones many democratic affiliated groups have been urging people to complete. What do you all make of the intimidation being done by “members” of the democratic party accross the country? What with all the shootings of republican party offices and the attempted vehicular manslaughter of kathryn Harris the other day. Speaking of voter fraud, what about the gal who was arrested for giving crack cocaine to druggies to complete democratic registrations. She says she was being paid by the NAACP, but who knows about that. Just thought id post a few counter points to the extreme bush hate out there.

  3. Oops! Egg on face here. Did some research, your info. was right. They werent tearing up fraudulent regisrations. Off to bury head in sand!! Late. John

  4. Hey John –

A story I heard on the radio the other day made it sound like there’s rabid, bi-partisan insanity going on out there – people pissing on campaign signs, driving around with bullhorns cussing people out… things are reaching a fever pitch. It makes me wonder *first* about what kind of “Uniter, not a divider” could make so many extreme policy decisions in four years that so many people are either so upset or supportive that it comes to this. Set up an extreme regime, you get an extreme public response. It makes me wonder *second* about the sanity of the public.

I hadn’t heard of the crack for votes plan – sign me up! Amazing.
